Why Bel Aire Magazine?
We are proud to present the SIXTH YEAR of the digital Bel Aire Magazine!
In the footsteps of the 21st Century journalism trend, we moved from a hard copy newspaper six years ago to an online magazine.
Creating and publishing the magazine online has allowed our publication to come alive with videos, links, interactive surveys, and photos.
The Bel Aire students worked hard each Thursday in the newsroom during their lunch club. They helped set up the ideas for the main tabs: Travel, Bel Aire News, Sports, Technology, Animals, Book & Movie Reviews, Short Stories, Recipes and Fun Stuff.
Students came to the newsroom with their passions and ideas, iPads and laptops, and with questions prepared to interview teachers and students. With the abundance of technology at Bel Aire, students were easily able to research information online, film, record, create movies, and snap photos. They then self and peer-edited their work, made final edits with the teachers, and the uploaded their finished articles to Google Drive. We are very proud of their work.
Happy reading!
